Took on a half marathon loop around Lake Hātumā with my wife. Not a race - just a personal challenge to get around the lake and see how we'd hold up. Rolled over the Hātumā mountains ;-) and then on to the halfway mark feeling surprisingly good, and somehow kept talking to each other all the way to the finish. A energy gel or two definately helped. Filmed as we ran — raw, unfiltered and a bit of a laugh!

This old UMX Turbo Timber has had a rough life… plenty of crashes, repairs and hard landings So I finally stopped talking about rebuilding it and just did it. Everything from the old airframe got transplanted into a brand new fuselage and wing - servos, electronics, lights, the lot. I even cut my own vinyl graphics and added a simple landing gear fix after getting sick of replacing them. This is the true maiden of the rebuild. A few CG tweaks, long grass takeoff, and thankfully… she flies beautifully. Really happy with how this one turned out but here's a pro tip for you: I have learnt that it is cheaper to purchase a brand new plane than it is to replace all the bits and pieces ... by heaps! :-)

Back out with the Parkzone Radian Pro for round two – this time in the evening breeze! After a calm maiden flight earlier in the day, I wanted to see how this RC glider handled a bit more wind! With the sun going down and the chill setting in, the Radian Pro showed off its soaring skills, picking up every gust rolling over the hills. The extra breeze made things trickier (especially when it came to landing), but it was a whole lot of fun figuring out rudder vs. aileron and flap use in windy conditions Even with the wind, and me having very little experience, the Radian Pro proves it’s a relaxing yet capable RC glider. #RCPlane #RadianPro #GliderFlying #RCGlider #MaidenFlight #Parkzone #Soaring
Windy Evening Flight with My Parkzone Radian Pro #RCPlane #Glider
On this day, I took my Parkzone Radian Pro out for its maiden flight (for me!) - and it’s also my first time ever flying an RC glider. Unlike my usual powered RC planes, this one is all about smooth, quiet soaring, catching updrafts, and relaxing in the sky. This Radian Pro was gifted to me by my neighbor (thanks Brett!), and despite its age, it still flies beautifully. With flaps, ailerons, and incredible glide time, it’s a whole new RC flying experience compared to the other #rcplanes I usually fly. This flight has me hooked - I can see why people love gliders!
